Terms of Business

We are delighted that you have chosen us to look after your pet! Below are some points to help clarify our provision of services to you.

Appointments

To minimise waiting times, all of our consultations and surgical procedures are seen by appointment with the exception of emergencies.

Fees

All fees are subject to GST. Fee levels are determined by the time spent on a case and according to the drugs, materials and consumables used. We will endeavour to provide you with an estimate of fees prior to treatment. There may be situations in which it is difficult for us to be accurate and final treatment may be more complex than first anticipated. We will always try to give you an idea of a likely bill, but please enquire if this has not been discussed.

Payment

We require payment in full at the time of consultation or prior to collection of your pet from hospital. We accept all major credit cards, eftpos and cash.  We offer Vetpay, an external credit company, but recommend clients consider pet insurance to help off-set the costs of veterinary treatment.

Medication

As with human medicine many of the drugs we use are only available on prescription. This means that we are not legally allowed to dispense them to patients that are not under our care. It is in the best interest of your pet that they receive the correct treatment for their condition and this will normally involve a consultation with the vet.

Patients on long-term medication for chronic conditions such as diabetes & arthritis need to be seen by a vet at least every 6 months for assessment.
